An alien spacecraft parked next to Mercury?

A giant object the size of a planet that appeared lurking near Mercury in a NASA footage has caught the attention of alien-hunters who say it could be a “cloaked” spaceship parked near the planet.

The object appears from nowhere in a sequence of images of a coronal ejection from the Sun taken by NASA’s STEREO spacecraft.

In the footage, one sees a huge spurt of plasma and other solar ejecta washing over Mercury; peculiarly, the material seems to flare up as it hits another nearby object, too.

“It’s cylindrical on either side and has a shape in the middle. It definitely looks like a ship to me, and very obviously, it’s cloaked,” YouTube-user siniXster said in his commentary on the footage which has gone viral and been viewed by more than 100,000 users on the video-sharing site.

Oh sure, the “experts” will tell you that it’s a video artifact, a ghost image of Mercury’s position from the previous day. But who are you going to believe, the “experts” or your own lying eyes? If the “experts” knew it was a gigantic, cloaked Romulan spaceship, do you think they’d tell you and cause mass societal panic? I don’t think so.

Burger King Kills Off King Mascot Commercials

Burger King has decided that putting a creepy plastic mask on a robe-wearing human body isn’t good for business. After declining sales, the world’s second largest hamburger chain has decided to end its advertising campaign featuring the King mascot and instead focus its advertising on the food itself, beginning this week with commercials for its newest avocado and cheese-bearing product.

Since advertising firm Crispin Porter + Bogusky began working with Burger King in 2003, the King has been at the forefront of their campaigns. In the “Wake Up With the King” series meant to sell the chain’s new breakfast sandwiches, for example, unwitting customers wake up to find the silent mascot lurking outside of their windows or next to them in bed. We’re guessing that the narrator’s raspy voice also didn’t help “appeal to [the] broader audience” Burger King spokesman Miguel Piedra says the brand wants to attract.

Okay, so The King was a little creepy, but the commercials were awesome, cult classics! At least he wasn’t boring like showing 30 seconds worth of retouched pictures of highly stylized food that looks absolutely nothing like the mangled, defective product you actually get in the store. Boo, the King will be missed.

Last week, the mainstream media completely ignored the fact that Yonathan Melaku is a Muslim after he was arrested for lurking near the Pentagon. Now it turns out that Melaku is responsible for last year’s string of D.C. area sniper incidents too. Can you say Islamic Jihadi or is that still too politically incorrect?

Federal authorities on Thursday charged a Marine reservist in connection with 2010 shootings at the Pentagon and the National Museum of the Marine Corps.

Although he has been charged with only two shootings so far, the criminal complaint links him to three other shootings at military recruiting stations.

Except for Fox News, all the other media outlets are still making everyone play guess the religion by not directly mentioning that Yonathan Melaku is a Muslim acting in the name of Islam. Oh sure, they drop hints like he chanted “Allahu Akbar” before taking his sniper shots, but they refuse to put the word Muslim into print.

/it’s easy enough to infer Melaku’s religion from the articles, because in these types of incidents the perpetrators are pretty much always Muslims, but still, some straight up, honest reporting, without deference to political correctness, would be nice
