There Is No Humor In Islam

The Religion of Murder and Mayhem strikes again, proving once again that Islam is incompatible with Western civilization.

Firebomb hits French satire magazine

The offices of Charlie Hebdo, a satirical weekly French magazine, have been burnt down in a firebomb attack on the same day that it published a special edition entitled “Charia [Sharia] Hebdo” with the Prophet Muhammad depicted as editor-in-chief.

The paper’s website was also brought down by hackers in what staff believe was retaliation for the publication, which “celebrated” the victory of an Islamist political party in the recent Tunisian elections and the promise from Libya’s interim leader that Sharia law would be the principal source of legislation in the country. The magazine’s front page carried a large picture of the prophet, which is forbidden in Islam, with the caption: “100 lashes if you are not dying of laughter”.

Free speech is a basic tenet of a free society and satire is a subset of free speech, including the right to satirize religion. Of course, there is no freedom of speech in Islam, under Sharia law, which would be fine if they kept to themselves and Muslims, driven by the basic mandates of their religion, weren’t continuously attempting to conquer and impose their beliefs and values on, often by violent means, the infidels of Western civilization.

/so, until Muslims, as a society, collectively decide to leave the 7th century, reform their religion, and catch up with the 21st century, Islam and Western civilization will never mix, because us infidels refuse to time travel backward in terms of freedom and world history

The Religion Of Intolerance, No Humor, And Thin Skins

Once again, Muslims worldwide are in full seethe mode over . . . wait for it . . . CARTOONS! Here comes the rioting, I smell carbeque!

Pakistani court orders Facebook blocked in prophet row

A court in Pakistan has ordered the authorities temporarily to block the Facebook social networking site.

The order came when a petition was filed after the site held a competition featuring caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad.

The petition, filed by a lawyers’ group called the Islamic Lawyers’ Movement, said the contest was “blasphemous”.

A message on the competition’s information page said it was not “trying to slander the average Muslim”.

“We simply want to show the extremists that threaten to harm people because of their Muhammad depictions that we’re not afraid of them,” a statement on the “Everybody Draw Mohammed Day” said.

“They can’t take away our right to freedom of speech by trying to scare us into silence.”

The information section of the page said that it was set up by a Seattle-based cartoonist, Molly Norris.

It contains caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad and characters from other religions, including Hinduism and Christianity, as well as comments both critical and supportive of Islam.

‘Blasphemous’

Publications of similar cartoons in Danish newspapers in 2005 sparked angry protests in Muslim countries – five people were killed in Pakistan.

Facebook has more than 400 million users sharing 25 billion things a month
Already the Pakistani press has reported protests against Facebook on Wednesday by journalists outside parliament in Islamabad, while various Islamic parties are also reported to be organising demonstrations.

This is just another example of why Islam is incompatible with Western, secular governments, the two are mutually exclusive. A devout Muslim cannot, by definition, be loyal to both Islam and a secular government. Unlike in Islam, where Sharia theocratic law is the only recognized governing authority, in Western secular civilization, we have a concept called freedom of speech and no religion is immune from mockery and ridicule. Obviously, as you can plainly see, freedom of speech is antithetical to Muslim culture.

/it’s just this simple, Dar al-Harb, Dar al-Islam, where Islam goes, trouble follows

The Continuing Adventures Of The Religion Of Murder And Mayhem

As usual, it’s still all about killing over cartoons.

Irish arrests over ‘plot to kill Swedish cartoonist’

Seven people have been arrested in the Irish Republic over an alleged plot to kill a Swedish cartoonist for depicting the Prophet Muhammad, police say.

The four men and three women are all Muslim immigrants, according to media reports, though a police statement did not confirm this.

Cartoonist Lars Vilks had depicted the Prophet Muhammad with the body of a dog in the Nerikes Allehanda newspaper.

Islamic militants put a $100,000 (£67,000) bounty on his head.

Mr Vilks was quoted as saying he was unfazed by the arrests, which he said he thought could be linked to two death threats he had received by telephone in January.

‘Slaughter’ bonus

Irish police said the seven suspects were arrested after an investigation into a “conspiracy to murder an individual in another jurisdiction”, a probe that also involved police in the US and other European countries.

The suspects ranged in age from their mid-20s to late-40s.

Ireland’s RTE news network reported that five were detained in Waterford and two others in Cork.

RTE said those in custody were originally refugees from Morocco and Yemen, but had gained asylum and were in the Republic of Ireland legally.

Mr Vilks has been under police protection in Sweden since threats were made against his life.

“I’m not shaking with fear, exactly,” he told Swedish news agency TT after Tuesday’s arrests.

“I have prepared in different ways and I have an axe here in case someone should manage to get in through the window.”

In 2007 a group linked to al-Qaeda in Iraq offered a $100,000 reward for killing Mr Vilks, and a 50% bonus if he was “slaughtered like a lamb” by having his throat cut.

Montco woman accused of helping terrorists

A woman from Montgomery County who used the online nickname of “JihadJane” has been indicted for conspiring to provide support to Islamic terrorists with whom she allegedly plotted to kill a Swedish artist.

Prosecutors accused Colleen R. LaRose, 46, of emailing terrorists sympathizers and offering to use her American looks and identity to carry out an attack. She was arrested last October but her incarceration was kept secret until today.

American and foreign governments used the time to sweep up a terrorist network in Ireland, according to news media in that country. The Irish Times said seven men, most from other nations, were arrested as part of a plot to murder a Swedish artist who drew a controversial image of the Prophet Muhammad.

Two American officials told the Inquirer that LaRose’s arrest was connected to the Irish investigation and planned attack in Sweden.

LaRose was arrested at Philadelphia International Airport when she stepped off a plane from Europe in October. Her internet postings sympathetic to radical jihad attracted the FBI’s attention.

American officials say LaRose, who is divorced, lived in Texas before moving to the Philadelphia area in 2004. A white woman of slight build, LaRose has no known occupation.

LaRose lived in a Pennsburg apartment building, attached to a post office, when FBI agents started their investigation last fall.

She is accused of recruiting women online to travel to Europe “in support of violent jihad,” the indictment says.

The court document quotes email messages in which LaRose, who also used the online name “Fatima LaRose,” as telling a South Asian man that her appearance would allow her to “blend in with many people.”

She later received a “direct order” to kill a citizen of Sweden, identified as Lars Vilks.

LaRose is accused of writing this email: “i will make this my goal till i achieve it or die trying.”

German football song irks Muslims

An anthem sung by fans of the German football club FC Schalke 04 has drawn protests from Muslims because of its reference to the Prophet Muhammad.

The Gelsenkirchen club, which plays in Germany’s top league, the Bundesliga, has asked an Islam expert to consider whether the song might be insulting.

The third verse contains the words: “Muhammad was a prophet who understood nothing about football”.

“But of all the lovely colours he chose [Schalke’s] blue and white,” it goes.

The club has received hundreds of e-mails from angry Muslims recently, since Turkish media carried reports about the song.

Police in Gelsenkirchen, in the industrial Ruhr region of western Germany, say they are taking the Muslim complaints very seriously.

The head of Germany’s Central Council of Muslims, Aiman Mazyek, said his council would not call for a ban on the anthem, but would like “an explanation of its background”.
