It’s The Jihad, Stupid

Oh look, it’s yet another Muslim spreading Islam’s message of peace and tolerance.

NYC Arrests Terror Suspect Accused of Plotting to Bomb Police Cars

An al-Qaida sympathizer who plotted to bomb NYPD patrol cars and postal facilities and envisioned targeting U.S. soldiers returning home from overseas has been arrested, officials said.

Mayor Bloomberg, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly and Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. announced the arrest of Jose Pimentel, 27, Sunday evening at City Hall.

Bloomberg said Pimentel, of Washington Heights, was “inspired by al-Qaida propaganda” but not part of any larger group and was not believed to be working with others. He was also “motivated by his own resentment of the presence of American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan,” Bloomberg said.

. . .

Pimentel, also known as Muhammad Yusuf, was denied bail and remained in custody.

It’s amazing how the authorities keep foiling these jihadi plots and that there hasn’t been a successful mass casualty terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11. It’s not like there aren’t plenty of disgruntled Muslims willing to give it a try.

Who Owns The Freakshow?

Well, let’s see. Obama likes him some OccupyWallStreet. He thinks “[they express] the frustrations that the American people feel.”

Nancy Pelosi says, “God bless them, for their spontaneity. It’s independent, it’s young, it’s spontaneous, and it’s focused and it’s going to be effective.”

Susan Sarandon notes that, “we can’t let our Arab brothers and sisters get way ahead of us.”

Michael Moore observes, “this movement has, very rapidly, reached millions of Americans . . . it’s very heartening.”

What about the labor unions? Yep, they’re onboard.

In fact, there’s a whole ticker tape parade of bandwagons filled with lefty politicians and celebrities who have glommed on to the “occupiers'” cause. But who are these “occupiers”, really?

For starters, they’re racist, Jew hating antisemites.

They’re also violent lawbreakers.

In general, they’re vile, filthy degenerates, illegally squatting in New York City parks.

Stinking up Wall Street: Protesters accused of living in filth as shocking pictures show one demonstrator defecating on a POLICE CAR

This are the shocking scenes that have led some people to accuse the Occupy Wall Street protesters living rough in New York’s financial district of creating unsanitary and filthy conditions.

Exclusive pictures obtained by Mail Online show one demonstrator relieving himself on a police car.

So, who owns the freakshow and who’s organizing it? It obviously emanates from the left of the political spectrum and the tacit approval and open encouragement from Obama, Pelosi, and other prominent Leftys tells you all you need to know. And when the unions join in as reinforcements, that confirms it. All roads from Occupy Wall Street meander back to the Obama reelection campaign through various left wing front groups. It’s the most bizarre reelection strategy I’ve ever seen, incite, encourage, and reinforce class warfare rioting in the streets of major American cities. Will it be enough to get Obama reelected? Probably not, but what else does he have to run on?

/in any case, whatever else ensues from the “Occupy Wall Street movement”, for better or worse, Obama ultimately owns the freakshow

Calling A Spade A Spade

Outgoing Joint Chiefs chairman Mike Mullen finally said, in public, what everybody already knows, Pakistan is the enemy, not our ally.

Mullen Blames Pakistan Intelligence for Attack

The top U.S. military officer on Thursday accused Pakistan’s powerful intelligence agency of backing extremists in planning and executing the assault on the U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan last week and a truck bomb attack that wounded 77 American soldiers days earlier.

In his last congressional testimony before he retires next week, Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, insisted that the Haqqani insurgent network “acts as a veritable arm” of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence agency, undermining the uneasy U.S.-Pakistan relationship forged in the terror fight and endangering American troops in the nearly 10-year-old war in Afghanistan.

Is Pakistan America’s Ally?

Pakistan can deny, protest, and be outraged by the truth all they want. The evidence is overwhelming that the ISI aids and harbors terrorists that are constantly attacking, wounding, and killing U.S. forces in the region. There’s enough smoking guns to fill a National Guard armory. Need more proof that the ISI cooperates closely with terrorists? Just remember where and under what circumstances Osama bin Laden was found, ’nuff said. Pakistan is threatening to cease being our ally? Well, with allies like Pakistan, who needs enemies?

/by the way, the attack on the U.S. Embassy was a blatant act of war, the road to victory in Afghanistan clearly winds through Pakistan, do we want to win or tuck tail like the Soviets?

Not Good For A Secular Turkey

If you thought Turkey was already an unreliable NATO ally, this won’t help.

Turkey: Military chiefs resign en masse

The chief of the Turkish armed forces, Isik Kosaner, has resigned along with the army, navy and air force heads.

They were furious about the arrest of senior officers, accused of plotting, shortly before a round of military promotions.

A series of meetings between General Kosaner and PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan failed to resolve their differences.

Turkish President Abdullah Gul moved quickly to appoint General Necdet Ozel as the new army chief.

Gen Ozel is widely expected to be swiftly elevated to chief of the general staff in place of Gen Kosaner. Tradition dictates that only the head of the army can take over the top job.

There has been a history of tension between the secularist military and the governing AK party, with the two sides engaged in a war of words for the past two years over allegations that parts of the military had been plotting a coup.

Do You Believe In Iranian Magic?

It looks like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is on his way out as Iran’s president. You know you’re in real trouble when they start arresting your staff for witchcraft.

Ahmadinejad allies charged with sorcery

Close allies of Iran’s president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, have been accused of using supernatural powers to further his policies amid an increasingly bitter power struggle between him and the country’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Several people said to be close to the president and his chief of staff, Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, have been arrested in recent days and charged with being “magicians” and invoking djinns (spirits).

Ayandeh, an Iranian news website, described one of the arrested men, Abbas Ghaffari, as “a man with special skills in metaphysics and connections with the unknown worlds”.

International Man Of Misery Goes To Manhattan

Viktor Bout, the so called “Merchant of Death”, is now in U.S. custody and, if the Russians weren’t already angry enough, now they’re really pissed off.

Accused international arms dealer pleads not guilty

An accused international arms dealer, now in U.S. custody for allegedly agreeing to sell millions of dollars of weapons to a Colombian narco-terrorist organization, pleaded not guilty Wednesday in a U.S. courtroom to four counts of terror-related crimes.

Viktor Bout, the alleged dealer, could face life in prison if found guilty, the Manhattan U.S. Attorney said.

The charges he faces are conspiracy to kill U.S. nationals; conspiracy to kill U.S. officers or employees; conspiracy to acquire and use an anti-aircraft missile; and conspiracy to provide material support or resources to a designated foreign terrorist organization. In this case, that would be the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia or FARC.

And why might the Russians be upset by this?

Viktor Bout: Whose Secrets Does the Alleged Arms Dealer Know?

According to one defense adviser to the Russian government who served in the upper ranks of the KGB throughout the 1980s, Bout knows at least enough to embarrass, if not incriminate, a lot of Russia’s political brass. “Bout’s background is in military intelligence, so he can explain who does what in those structures,” the defense adviser says, asking to remain anonymous because of the sensitivity of what he calls “this dirty business.” But such revelations, he adds, would not make for very exciting news, at least not for the CIA. “The much more worrying factor is [Bout’s] knowledge of the arms trade, which is a very gray area. He knows about military stockpiles, and he can explain which of our brother-nations are given access to what kinds of weapons, what kinds of bribes are given for access to these weapons, how international rules are skirted, and so on. On top of that, he has a lot of associates he can name, because you don’t conduct a business like this on your own. Of course this is all very messy.”

It’s pretty obvious that Bout knows quite a lot about trafficking in Russian/Soviet arms and, given his track record, he’s a very bad actor and life in prison is too lenient a punishment for what he’s done. The Russians should be plenty nervous about what he might say and who he might incriminate. After all, Viktor was trying to sell anti-aircraft missiles, you don’t get those just anywhere, you need serious military and political connections.

But we need to be careful with this prosecution and be ready for blowback.

Another Day, Another Homegrown Jihadi

Muslim problem, what Muslim problem? What other religion in this country cultivates a steady stream of adherents that regularly plot and attempt to carry out mass casualty attacks against their fellow Americans? We’re just lucky that most of them haven’t been successful.

Alleged would be terrorist thwarted at every turn

Abdel Hameed Shehadeh, according to the FBI, traveled the world in search of jihad. But Pakistan turned him away, and Jordan did too. He tried to get into Somalia, but U.S. authorities placed him on the no-fly list. An American citizen, he visited an army recruiting station in New York’s Times Square hoping to be sent to Iraq; they did not want him either.

So, the FBI said, the 21-year-old born and raised in New York created websites and posted threats of radical Islamic violence, including one from another American expatriate, Anwar al Awlaki. Then Shehadeh flew to Hawaii and allegedly started taking target practice.

FBI agents said he wanted to join a jihadist group to learn “guerilla warfare and bomb-making.” Had he been welcomed into the U.S. army, they said, his plan was to defect in Iraq and turn against his comrades.

Shehadeh’s journeys ended last Friday. He was arrested in Honolulu and accused in a federal criminal complaint, unsealed Monday, of making false statements in an international terrorism case.

What amazes me, is that the FBI catches so many of them, although they don’t catch them all and lately we’ve just gotten lucky on more than one occasion.

/oh, and there’s absolutely no reason to be the least bit nervous about Muslims on airplanes, after all, it’s been almost a whole year now since one of them tried to ignite explosives in his underwear and bring down a passenger aircraft over a major city
