These are the lovely people Israel is supposed give up land to for peace.

Haniyeh on Nakba Day: Pray for an end to Israel

Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh spoke to Muslim worshipers on Sunday morning, telling them to pray for an end to Israel.

“Palestinians mark the Nakba with great hope of bringing to an end the Zionist project in Palestine,” Haniyeh told 10,000 people at Gaza City’s al-Omari mosque, AP reported.

“To achieve our goals in the liberation of our occupied land, we should have one leadership,” he reportedly said, praising the recent unity accord between Hamas and Fatah.

Haniyeh added that Hamas would not recognize Israel.

How difficult is it for liberals to comprehend that Fatah and Hamas are sworn to Israel’s destruction and have absolutely no intention of ever making peace with Israel. It’s not like it’s a big secret, just ask them or read the Hamas Charter

/Obama can make all the speeches he wants and demand that Israel do this or do that, but it’s all so much meaningless bull[expletive deleted] until Fatah and Hamas recognize Israel’s right to exist, which they’ve vowed never to do and there’s nothing Obama can, or will, do about it

Just Another Mideast Peace Farce, Without The Peace

Oh boy, Hillary and Obama are all excited and full of themselves for getting the Israelis and Palestinians to sit down for direct peace talks this week! Hello, who are these people kidding, what’s missing from this picture? Nevermind that elephant in the room!

Hamas rejects US call for peace talks

Hamas has rejected the US calls for the resumption of direct peace talks between Israelis and Palestinians, describing it as a new attempt to deceive the Palestinians.

On Friday, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri called the US invitation misleading and said the new US plan is not acceptable because it does not serve the interests of the Palestinian people.

“Hamas rejects the American call for the resumption of Israeli-Palestinian negotiations. The Palestinian people will not feel bound by the results of this misleading invitation,” Abu Zuhri told AFP.

“This invitation is a new attempt to fool the Palestinian people after the Annapolis experience, during which we were promised a Palestinian state within a year, but many years have passed and we are still at square one,” Abu Zuhri added.

Hamas rejected the call for talks shortly after the Palestinian Authority (PA) agreed to resume direct peace talks with Israel under the mediation of the United States, even though its conditions were not met.

The PA and Israel have agreed to reach a deal within one year.

Mideast Peace Talks Back On, Hamas Not Invited to the Table

Tell me again what the point is of holding these “talks”, when Hamas isn’t included in the negotiations and they control Gaza and are still sworn to the destruction of Israel? For the life of me, I can’t answer that question unless this whole “direct talks” sham was concocted to stroke Obama’s massive ego. When these futile “talks” end in abject failure and absolutely nothing is accomplished, Hillary and Obama are going to look like complete laughingstocks scraping two tons of egg off their faces.

/then again, what’s new about Hillary and Obama when it comes to failure and accomplishing nothing?

Obama’s Futile Adventure

This is going nowhere fast.

Obama, Abbas talk peace

President Obama received Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas at the White House today with a valuable welcoming gift: a toughly-worded, categorical US demand for Israel to stop settlements in Palestinian territories.

But hours before the two men met, the Israeli government flatly rejected the demand. Israeli government spokesman Mark Regev said that “normal life in those communities must be allowed to continue,” meaning that some construction will continue in existing settlements.

Obama and Abbas appeared to see eye to eye, speaking of the need for increased support from Arab governments to support the peace process by showing good faith in their promise to recognize the existence of the Jewish state if Israel strikes a peace deal with Palestinians.

But nowhere was the confluence of views so striking as in the Obama administration’s position on settlements, which the president outlined directly to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week at the White House.

After meeting with Abbas, Obama told reporters he stands firmly behind “core principles” toward peace, including a two-state solution, Israel “stopping settlements,” and Palestinians preventing attacks on Israel.

“I am confident we can move this process forward,” if all sides live up to prior obligations and negotiate in good faith, the president said.

For starters, Obama keeps demanding that Israel stop settlmeent construction even after Israel has already repeatedly told him, in no uncertain terms, that that’s out of the question, not going to happen. And then, in another stab at comedy gold, Obama tells his new best buddy Mahmoud that Arab governments must promise to recognize the existence of Israel as a Jewish state. Forget the other Arab governments recognizing Israel as a Jewish state for a minute, like that’s ever going to happen, what about Abbas himself? Gee, wasn’t it just a month ago that Abbas refused to recognize Israel as a Jewish state?

Abbas says won’t recognize Israel as Jewish state

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Monday calls by the new right-leaning Israeli government to recognize Israel as a Jewish state, an issue emerging as a main obstacle to peacemaking.

“I do not accept it,” the Western-backed Abbas said. “It is not my job to give a description of the state. Name yourself the Hebrew Socialist Republic — it is none of my business.”

And what about Hamas, that merry band of murdering thugs in control of the Gaza strip, designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) by the U.S. government, the same Hamas that indiscriminately fires rockets into Israel on a regular basis and is slated to sign a reconciliation agreement with Abbas and Fatah in July, think Hamas will ever recognize Israel’s right to exist? Well, Magic Eight Ball the Hamas Charter says no.

So, what’s the point? Why does Obama keep engaging in this fantasy charade, pretending that Fatah/Hamas are the good guys and that Israel is the obstacle to peace for daring to insist on her own survival? Does he think he can perform some type of magical Obama Kabuki dance and change the ground truth? Instead of strong arming Israel, our strongest ally in the region, why doesn’t Obama demand that the designated terrorists behave like civilized people and recognize Israel as a precondition to negotiations?

/how can Israel possibly negotiate “peace” with those sworn to her destruction?

Terrorist Family Feud Comes to Minnesota Capitol

Hamas Rallies at Minnesota State Capitol

On January 5, representatives of Hamas and Fatah rallied on the steps of the Minnesota state capitol in St. Paul. Their purpose was to condemn Israel, and an Israeli flag was burned. Mostly, though, the rally turned into a confrontation between the terrorist organization, Hamas, and the formerly terrorist organization–to give it the benefit of the doubt–Fatah. Congressman Keith Ellison attended, apparently at the invitation of the Fatah faction, but was shouted down by Hamas supporters who don’t consider him radical enough. This video, which was made by Minnesotans Against Terrorism, really has to be seen to be believed.

Another Idiot Goes to Bring Peace to the Middle East

Mitchell: Open Gaza crossings with PA

US Middle East envoy George Mitchell on Thursday said that the Gaza crossings must be opened in cooperation with the Palestinian Authority.

In a press conference Mitchell held with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah, Mitchell told reporters that “to be successful in preventing the illicit traffic of arms into Gaza there must be a mechanism to allow the flow of legal goods, and that should be with the participation of the Palestinian Authority.”

For starters, the Palestinian Authority (Fatah) are mortal enemies of Hamas and Hamas controls Gaza. Second, even if Israel did open up the border crossings, that still wouldn’t stop Hamas from illegally smuggling weapons through Egypt.

Finally, neither Fatah nor Hamas recognize Israel’s right to exist

/gee George, think recognizing Israel’s right to exist might be the primary roadblock that needs to be cleared before anyone starts demanding that border crossings be opened?
