No Jews Allowed

Here you go boys and girls, here’s the new Libya that Obama threw billions of dollars at and the full weight of the United States behind, freedom and democracy for all unless, you know, you’re a Jew.

Exiled Libyan Jew blocked from restoring synagogue

A Libyan Jewish man who returned from exile to try to restore Tripoli’s main synagogue has been blocked from the building a day after knocking down the wall in front of its entrance.

A visibly angry David Gerbi went to clean garbage from the synagogue on Monday only to be told by men at the scene that they had received warnings he would be targeted by violence and that he should stop his efforts.

Gerbi, who fled with his family to Italy in 1967, said he had secured permission from the local sheik to restore the synagogue and that he was surprised he was now being blocked from completing the work. Gerbi’s colleague Richard Peters said that several men armed with assault rifles later appeared to guard the building.

Breaking down in tears, Gerbi said Monday that Libya needs to decide if it’s going to be a racist country or a democratic one.

If you check the “Arab Spring” scorecard, you’ll notice that every time Obama has taken a side in an uprising, it’s been the side inhabited by radical Islamists, who openly hate Jews and pray for Israel’s destruction.

/Obama and the entire U.S. State Department just can’t be that dumb or naive, it has to be a deliberate policy

Syria Circling The Drain

So far, we’ve seen varying degrees of serious Muslim unrest in Pakistan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Algeria, Bahrain, Libya, and Oman. Now, it appears that Syria is also on the verge of descending into chaos.

Thousands continue protests in Syria

Thousands of people took to the streets in the southern city of Dara, chanting “Syria, Freedom,” a day after a deadly crackdown on protests there, human rights activists said.

The demonstrations Thursday occurred at the funerals for some of those killed when government forces opened fire on protesters the previous day. Initial reports put the death toll at 15, but Reuters news agency, citing a hospital source, said more than 25 people were killed.

. . .

No additional violence was reported Thursday, but human rights activists said a number of Syrian writers and journalists who reported on the unrest in Dara had been arrested.

. . .

Presidential advisor Bouthaina Shaaban pledged to consider ending the emergency law in place since 1963 that has allowed the government to detain anyone without a warrant or a trial.

She said the government was also drafting a law that would allow political parties other than the ruling Baath party to operate, and loosen restrictions on news media. She also promised wage increases and health insurance for public servants.

But the human rights activists noted that the promises were not binding and pledged to move forward with their plans for Friday protests.

Like Libya, here’s another revolt that I can heartily root for. Bashar al-Assad has buckets of American and Israeli blood on his hands and I would thoroughly enjoy watching his corpse being dragged through the streets. Tomorrow’s planned Day of Rage, after Friday prayers, could be a tipping point as to whether the Syrian government will fall or brutally repress the protesters. Stay tuned.

/of course, the Muslim country government that I would most like to see circle the drain is the Iranian regime, directly responsible for well over 90% of all the terrorism on the planet, maybe, hopefully, soon

Yemen Circling The Drain

Okay, Yemen was already pretty much circling the drain. But now the Yemeni government, that was marginally helping us in the war against al Qaeda and radical Islam, is under pressure. Who knows what manner of government might come to power if the current one falls?

Massive protests erupt in Yemen to demand ouster of president

Around 15,000 protesters took to streets in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa on Thursday, calling for the ouster of President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

“People want to change the regime, want the president to leave, ” protesters uproared with pink belts wrapped around their heads, which symbolized freedom, waving pink flags together in the largest public rallies organized by the opposition parties in four areas in the capital.

The protesters are mainly university students, opposition party members and supporters, as well as some workers and the unemployed, mostly of whom complained about unemployment and poverty.

“We are sending our message today to the president and his government that we demand improving living conditions, combating corruption as well as political reform. We want better future for our children,” a protester from the opposition Islamist Islah party told Xinhua.

Let’s see, the pro-Western governments of Pakistan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Egypt, and now Yemen, have all been toppled or are under extreme pressure from opposition groups looking to overthrow the current regimes. And what’s Obama’s response? He’s throwing them all under the bus by encouraging the opposition protests under the guise of “freedom of expression”. Doesn’t Obama realize that the world could end up with a whole slew of new, anti-Western, Islamic governments? Wouldn’t that be fun?

/Obama is really naive and stupid or he actually approves of the possibility of a bunch of new, anti-Western, Islamic governments, either way, it’s extremely unsettling, remember, Obama didn’t lift a finger to help or utter a peep of support when the mass protests were against the Islamic regime in Iran
