Surprise, It’s Another Muslim Jihadi!

Of course, it’s really no surprise at all, unless you’re a lefty . . .

Was he a lone deranged nut, upset with Obamacare?

Maybe he was a right-wing nut?

Joining the Democrat-turned-Republican-turned-independent Bloomberg in the ranks of liberals quick-on-the-draw to accuse “mentally deranged” anti-big-government activists of being closeted domestic terrorists was Democratic Rep. Jerrold Nadler.

“It could have been an Islamic terrorist,” Nadler told the Politico, but then again “it could have been a right-wing nut,” he added. “People who are motivated because they’re sympathetic to al-Qaida, or to right-wing nut jobs sympathetic to others in Michigan, don’t have to be in contact with their leaders,” the House Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Subcommittee’s chief said.

Robert Dreyfuss says, how about a Tea Party Teabagger?

It may be that the Pakistan-based Taliban, the Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP), has quietly established a Connecticut franchise while we weren’t looking. That’s possible. But it seems far more likely to me that the perpetrator of the bungled Times Square bomb plot was either a lone nut job or a member of some squirrely branch of the Tea Party, anti-government far right. Which actually exists in Connecticut, where, it seems, the car’s license plates were stolen.

Ezra Klein thinks maybe he was just upset and despondent because he lost his house?

This guy is like string theory for the media: He brings together the seemingly incompatible stories that drove the past decade. That said, you of course don’t want to speculate on why someone “really” did something. The hearts of men are opaque, and motives are complex. But it’s a reminder that foreclosures generate an enormous amount of misery and anxiety and depression that can tip people into all sorts of dangerous behaviors that don’t make headlines but do ruin lives. And for all that we’ve done to save the financial sector, we’ve not done nearly enough to help struggling homeowners.

Seriously, who the hell knows why Faisal Shahzad parked a vehicle borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) in Times Square on a busy Saturday night, it’s all a big mystery . . . to Lefty.

Contessa Brewer was just hoping he was Michigan Militia and not a Muslim.

You know, sometimes a Muslim jihadi is just a Muslim jihadi and Faisal Shahzad is a Muslim jihadi, trained to make bombs in Pakistan and carry out a jihad attack in the United States! Any second grader can easily connect the obvious dots with an oversized crayon, but not Lefty. Lefty refuses to acknowledge that the concept of “Islamic terrorism” even exists.

The Obama administration and Lefties everywhere had better start taking this real world threat seriously, instead of prancing around the edges of the problem, making up clever euphemisms and excuses for Islamic terrorism, so as not to offend the easily offended Muslims.

I don’t know about you, but I see a disturbing trend emerging. Lately, we haven’t stopped any Islamic terror attacks.

/except for Muslim jihadi Nidal Hasan, who succeeded in shooting 43 people, killing 13, the only reason we haven’t seen an even more enormous loss of life is because Muslim jihadi Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab and Muslim jihadi Faisal Shahzad failed to successfully detonate their terrorist bombs
